Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing and Utilities, emphasized the need to accelerate the implementation of electricity networks for the Beit Al Watan project, which is designated for Egyptians abroad, as well as for distinguished lands in Obour City. This came during his follow-up on electricity and development projects in the city, where he stressed the importance of improving service quality for citizens.
For his part, Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the Obour City Development Authority, stated that work is underway to implement the electricity network for land plots by technical specifications. The work is expected to be completed soon so the electrical current can begin operating.
The Head of the Authority confirmed that the project includes a medium-voltage network extending 12 km and a low-voltage network spanning 18.75 km, in addition to constructing four electricity rooms to serve 165 land plots in the Ninth District. Engineer Ahmed Rashad also highlighted the ongoing road development efforts in the city, including upgrading roads and sidewalks and completing the road designs in the Fourth District after installing the natural gas network.
Currently, restoration works are being carried out at the intersection of Street 15 with Street 300 and Hussein Mohamed Nassar Street in the Ninth District. Additionally, site coordination and concrete jacket casting in the Ninth District are in progress, with work continuing sequentially based on the availability of materials.
Engineer Ahmed Rashad stressed the importance of continuously increasing the completion rates of road development projects implemented across various city districts to improve the quality of services provided to residents. He also pointed out the necessity of overcoming any obstacles executing companies face to ensure these projects are completed within the specified timelines.
