Minister of Housing Inspects Water Projects in Qanater El Khayreya

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, and Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, conducted an inspection tour of the Qanater El Khayreya Water Station. The project spans 10 acres and can treat 69,120 cubic meters of water daily, serving around 600,000 residents. During the tour, they inspected the station’s intake from the Nile River and reviewed the work stages to ensure clean water. The minister also visited the customer service center, commending the employees’ efforts and urging them to continue providing quality services and conducting regular station maintenance.

Several officials accompanied the minister on the tour, including the Deputy Minister of Housing and the heads of water and sanitation companies. The minister highlighted that Qalyubia’s water company supplies 835,000 cubic meters daily, emphasizing the ministry’s plans to enhance sanitation services. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to studying and regulating urban areas, updating them where necessary, and addressing challenges to improve services. Additionally, he noted that cases in adjacent areas to urban boundaries will be reviewed to address any urgent needs for support or expansion.
