Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, continued his inspection tours with a visit to the Fifth East Sewage Pumping Station and its associated pipelines in 6th of October City, accompanied by officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the city authority.
During the tour, the minister inspected the station’s components and listened to a detailed explanation of its operating mechanism. The project is of great importance as it receives wastewater from districts 4, 5, and 8 in the eastern expansion area. In this context, the minister directed that the project’s benefits be maximized to serve the targeted areas more effectively.
The minister pointed out that the country is witnessing significant progress in sewage projects, in line with its plan to improve the quality of services provided in this vital sector. He also stressed the importance of carrying out regular maintenance works for these projects to preserve their efficiency and sustainability.
