Following a meeting at the headquarters of the city’s administrative authority, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a field tour to inspect ongoing projects in Sadat City. The tour included the development of road axes, the construction of a new water purification plant, and monitoring of utility works in the industrial zone. He was accompanied by officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the head of the Sadat City Development Authority.
The minister began by inspecting the central road axis to oversee its expansion, as it is considered a key traffic artery in the city. A total of 5.2 kilometers have been upgraded, and an additional 1.5 kilometers are currently under development to improve traffic flow. He also visited the Gamal Abdel Nasser axis.
Minister El-Sherbiny instructed the preparation of a detailed report on the land surrounding the central axis and emphasized the importance of accelerating communication with investors to initiate their allocated projects. He also stressed the need for ongoing maintenance of green spaces to enhance the city’s overall appearance.
The tour continued with an inspection of the new water purification plant, which has a capacity of 87,000 m³/day in its first phase. The minister listened to a presentation on the current construction work and directed that implementation be accelerated to complete the project as part of the broader plan to improve infrastructure and ensure the sustainability of drinking water services.
He also followed up on utility projects underway in Industrial Zone 10 of Sadat City, requesting a comprehensive report on the progress of the works.
