Minister of Housing Inspects “New Marina” Lake Project and Calls for Acceleration of Work

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour to oversee the progress of the “New Marina” Lake project, located south of the international coastal highway. He was accompanied by his technical assistant, the Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Development and City Planning, the Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, and several other officials.

During the tour, the minister emphasized the need to increase the pace of construction, calling for a doubling of labor and machinery and round-the-clock work to ensure the project’s completion before the upcoming summer season.

El-Sherbiny highlighted that the ministry is currently collaborating with specialized consulting firms to conduct studies aimed at identifying suitable locations for additional lakes along the North Coast. These new projects are designed to enhance land value and open up new investment opportunities for tourism development.

He further noted that these initiatives will contribute to the creation of more residential units and hotel rooms, boosting the region’s capacity to accommodate the growing number of tourists expected in the North Coast over the coming years.
