Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, recently visited the final sections of the Central Park, “Capital Park,” in the New Administrative Capital following his inspection of the towers in the Central Business District.
During the tour, the minister and his team reviewed the progress of the remaining construction work and inspected the maintenance status of completed sections. He emphasized the importance of expediting the completion of the remaining work and ensuring standard maintenance is carried out on the ready parts to preserve the park in optimal condition. This will allow a large number of citizens to enjoy the park.
El-Sherbiny highlighted that the Central Park project in the New Administrative Capital is a unique initiative, being implemented for the first time in Egypt. It introduces a new type of recreational project aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens and providing them with a distinctive urban environment. This project is part of the broader urban renaissance Egypt is witnessing, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives.
The park spans over 10 kilometers in length and covers an area of 1,000 square meters. It offers world-class recreational areas and is easily accessible via a comprehensive network of pedestrian and cycling paths. Capital Park is designed to serve a wide range of Egyptians from various walks of life, contributing to the New Republic’s vision of urban development and innovation.
