Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing and Utilities, followed up on the progress of infrastructure, services, and housing projects in New Beni Suef City, focusing on improving services and attracting investments. He emphasized the importance of accelerating work on current projects to achieve development and enhance quality of life. Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber, Head of the City Authority, explained that infrastructure works are being carried out in the residential district extension for one billion pounds, with 85% of the work completed. The residential neighborhoods include distinguished housing plots and social housing units.
The Head of New Beni Suef City Authority announced the implementation of several projects, including Lift Station No. 3 and its associated pressure line, utilities for a 29-acre area designated for medium-sized industries, and an urgent solution for Lift Station No. 4 for wastewater. In the road sector, work is being completed on the Fifth District roads, along with upgrading the roads in the medium industries area, while coordinating efforts for landscaping and lighting along the eastern regional road.
In the housing sector, six residential buildings are being constructed under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, comprising 144 middle-income housing units and 84 buildings for low-income families. Additionally, 1,369 plots of social and middle-income housing land have been handed over in the Seventh Residential District, with efforts ongoing to reorganize residential neighborhoods.
The City Authority Head announced the modification of a 120-acre area’s master plan to transform it into a mixed-use urban activity zone instead of an administrative service area, aiming to enhance resources. So far, 35 acres have been sold, while another 35 acres are being made available for real estate investment companies. Additionally, 31,000 square meters have been allocated for the Angel Best Yeast Factory to support Chinese foreign investment, alongside the relocation of workshops to the light industries area.
In the services sector, a one-day market in the Second Residential District has been introduced, featuring 41 stalls, 11 commercial shops, and a pharmacy, all of which have been fully sold. Furthermore, 20 mobile food units for young entrepreneurs and a transportation hub in the Second District have been offered for a five-year lease. Additionally, the administrative building has obtained three ISO certificates in various fields.
