Minister of Housing Follows Up on Utilities and Road Projects in 10th of Ramadan City

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, followed up on the progress of utilities and road projects in 10th of Ramadan City, including the “Diarna” residential project. The Minister reviewed reports on the development of the 710-feddan industrial zone and the “Developers” Water Purification Plant. He emphasized the importance of continuous field monitoring of projects and directed that coordination be maintained between supervising teams and implementing companies to overcome obstacles and ensure adherence to timelines and technical standards.

Engineer Alaa Abd El-Latif Mostafa conducted a field tour to monitor the progress of utilities and road projects in the heavy industrial zone, covering strategic areas such as the 710-feddan zone and the 2-million-square-meter zone. He inspected ongoing work and reviewed implementation rates. He also visited the Developers Water Plant in Zezinia, which produces 200,000 cubic meters of water per day and serves both 10th of Ramadan and Badr cities, enhancing the efficiency of water supply. Additionally, he reviewed the execution status of the “Diarna” middle-income housing project, which consists of 20 residential buildings with a total of 520 units, noting that over 10% of the project has been completed.

Engineer Mostafa continued monitoring critical projects across sectors including water, wastewater, roads, housing, electricity, agriculture, and public cleanliness in neighborhoods (1, 2, 3) and the Sixth Residential District. These efforts are part of a comprehensive plan to enhance services and overall quality of life. He also inspected progress on key traffic axes and service centers such as Misr El-Nour and Omar Ibn El-Khattab, aimed at improving infrastructure and easing traffic flow. Moreover, he toured the Citizen Service Technology Center to evaluate the quality of services provided.

During the visit, the head of the authority stressed the importance of treating citizens respectfully and streamlining procedures to expedite transaction processing. He instructed the provision of comfortable waiting areas outside the center to prevent overcrowding and ordered the installation of signage listing the required documents for each service. He also emphasized the need for a representative from the finance department to support rapid completion of services and called for the activation of the Land Committee to accelerate handover reports and promote transparency.
