Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority, held an extensive meeting with ministry officials, deputies, and assistants to follow up on the progress of several projects across different sectors.
At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of completing all tasks related to the ongoing projects and expediting the timelines to meet the set deadlines. This directive aligns with the instructions of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also highlighted the necessity of enhancing the ministry’s resources, stressing the importance of developing a work plan for each authority sector in the coming period and preparing detailed schedules for all upcoming projects.
The meeting discussed the political leadership’s directives to offer approximately 400,000 housing units for low- and middle-income citizens as well as upper-middle and luxury housing units. The Minister of Housing instructed the acceleration of the necessary procedures for these offerings. The meeting also reviewed investment opportunities in Marina, located on the North Coast, with directives to expedite work on projects and integrate them into a unified walkway.
After the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny reaffirmed the importance of completing ongoing projects and contracting their operators. He also called for an inventory of the lands owned by the authority in new cities to enhance development and attract investments.
