Minister of Housing Follows Up on Projects Progress in Port Said Governorate

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting this morning to review the progress of housing projects in Port Said Governorate. The meeting was attended by ministry officials, representatives from the New Urban Communities Authority, and representatives from the companies executing the projects. This comes as part of the ongoing efforts to implement housing projects that serve the residents of the governorate and promote cooperation between government entities to achieve the interests of citizens.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized that the housing projects currently being implemented in Port Said are among the ministry’s top priorities. He reaffirmed his commitment to completing these projects as swiftly as possible in coordination with local officials, highlighting the ministry’s dedication to providing the necessary support to the people of Port Said across various sectors.

The meeting included a follow-up on the implementation of 1,526 residential units and 232 commercial units distributed across 66 buildings in the city of Port Fouad, Port Said Governorate. In addition, the progress of another 1,144 residential units and 512 commercial shops within 53 buildings in the same area was reviewed. The discussions also covered the current status of infrastructure works, road networks, and the overall site planning of the project.

During the meeting, Minister El-Sherbiny issued directives to ministry officials to provide full support to the executing companies and to work toward eliminating any obstacles that may affect project progress. He also urged the companies to intensify efforts and accelerate the implementation schedule. Weekly progress timelines are to be developed in coordination with the relevant ministry officials.

The minister highlighted the importance of having a clear plan for the handover of completed buildings, assigning a dedicated team to oversee this process to ensure any comments or issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
