Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held a meeting with Major General Essam Galal, Chairman of the National Company for General Contracting, to discuss ongoing collaborative projects between the ministry and the company. The discussions particularly focused on the wastewater management system in the city of Dahab.
One of the key topics was the replacement and renovation project of the wastewater treatment plant, designed to handle a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters per day. The minister emphasized the urgency of implementing the project and directed the team to establish a timeline for completion.
The meeting also addressed the design of the housing station project and its operational framework. The Minister of Housing instructed the preparation of a comprehensive study and the immediate commencement of works, taking into consideration the strategic needs of Dahab.
Additionally, the discussions included the status of joint projects between the National Authority for Potable Water and the National Contracting Company in the governorates of Kafr El-Sheikh, Gharbia, and Matrouh. The minister instructed the operation of completed stations to serve local citizens.
Furthermore, the meeting covered the Eastern Expansions Transformer Station project in 6th of October City, along with four overhead electricity transmission lines in Sadat City. The minister directed all teams to closely monitor progress and work to overcome any obstacles.
