Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to follow up on the services provided to citizens through the Unified Electronic Portal of the New Urban Communities Authority. This meeting comes as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts toward digital transformation, with the participation of officials from the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority.
During the meeting, the available services on the electronic portal were reviewed, which have reached a total of 30 services. These include real estate services, building permits, utility connections, as well as financial and general services. The meeting also discussed ways to further develop the portal to provide all the services offered by the authority electronically in the coming period, with the goal of simplifying procedures for citizens.
New services have been launched on the New Urban Communities Authority’s electronic portal, coinciding with the closure of physical service centers. These services include applications for reconciliation in building violations, land regularization requests, increasing rooftop area by 75%, and permits for building on rooftops at the same percentage. Additionally, online building permit services have been made available, along with the ability to create accounts for engineering offices and official entities. Users can now upload documents, pay fees, and receive their electronic permits directly through the portal.
