Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund, in the presence of representatives from the ministry and the New Urban Authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny referred to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to initiate the collective offering of housing units, which includes approximately 400,000 units designated for low—and middle-income groups, in addition to above-middle and luxury housing. He stressed the importance of immediately completing all necessary procedures to offer these units.
During the meeting, Mai Abdel Hamid reviewed the financial status of housing projects under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in all its phases. She also discussed the fund’s financial flows, revenues, expenses, and direct financial support from citizens who reserved housing units.
Additionally, Abdel Hamid addressed the status of the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” announcement, which includes 78,000 housing units. She noted that approximately 762,000 citizens had purchased the terms and conditions booklets, of whom about 589,000 had made their down payment for reservations, and around 571,000 citizens had submitted their applications through the fund’s online platform.
