Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting this Sunday morning with representatives from “Sukna,” a company specializing in comprehensive funeral services. The meeting aimed to explore cooperation opportunities in developing existing cemetery areas in new cities and partnering to allocate new cemetery zones, particularly in fourth-generation cities.
The discussions were attended by officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure, including the dignified organization of burial spaces in alignment with the expansion and development of Egypt’s new urban areas.
The collaboration with “Sukna” could introduce innovative approaches to cemetery design and management, ensuring accessibility, environmental sustainability, and cultural sensitivity. This step aligns with broader urban planning efforts in creating well-structured and integrated communities.
