Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting today with officials from a leading asset management and institutional development company to explore strategies for optimizing the utilization of assets owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Housing and NUCA.
At the outset, the Minister reviewed initial proposals and the draft work plan prepared collaboratively by the company and NUCA’s team. He was briefed on the comprehensive components of the plan aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing the value of NUCA’s assets.
Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized that the Ministry’s strategic approach seeks to target global markets, promoting unique development projects such as the Central Business District (CBD) in the New Administrative Capital. Additionally, the plan aims to alleviate the administrative, maintenance, and operational burdens of these projects, as well as infrastructure initiatives, by leveraging public-private partnerships (PPP).
The Minister called for the swift development of an actionable, results-oriented plan to effectively manage NUCA’s assets, focusing on achieving optimal resource utilization and revenue generation. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure meaningful outcomes.
