Commencement of Main Water and Sewer Lines in New Obour City

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, announced the commencement of infrastructure works for the main water and sewer lines in neighborhoods (2, 3, and 10) of District 17 in New Obour City. This is a preparatory step for handing the land to citizens after finalizing its legal status. The minister emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of utility works and expediting the procedures for legalizing citizens’ land ownership as part of efforts to develop new cities and complete their infrastructure.

Dr. Ahmed Ismail Gabr, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, stated that the ongoing works include connecting water and sewer networks and carrying out road leveling to ensure the provision of essential services. These projects fall under a comprehensive plan to regulate added lands in the city, aiming to create an integrated urban environment that meets citizens’ needs. He stressed that executing companies must adhere to technical specifications and project timelines while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Additionally, he highlighted the authority’s commitment to comprehensively completing the land legalization process to achieve social stability and sustainable development.
