Minister of Housing Announces Unit Delivery at Sawary Development in Alexandria

Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the commencement of housing unit deliveries to beneficiaries at the “Sawary” development in West Carrefour, Alexandria. He emphasized the ministry’s dedication to expediting the completion of housing projects and ensuring timely delivery to citizens in fully serviced urban communities.

Sawary Development Overview

The Sawary project spans approximately 420 acres and offers a mix of residential and investment services aimed at bolstering development initiatives in Alexandria. It includes:

  • 64 residential towers known as “Sawary Towers,” featuring 3,068 units.
  • 310 villas with diverse housing options to cater to various needs.
  • Comprehensive infrastructure and services to support a modern urban lifestyle.

Phase One Details

The first phase of the project covers 120 acres, divided as follows:

  1. Sawary Towers:
    • Constructed on 60 acres, comprising 64 towers with units ranging in size from 130 to 280 square meters.
    • Aimed at providing luxury residential options within a gated community.
  2. Villas:
    • Built on 57 acres, featuring 310 standalone villas.
  3. Infrastructure:
    • Comprehensive roads and utility networks to ensure a seamless living experience.

Second Phase and Partnership Initiatives

The second phase involves a broader development plan under the presidential initiative “Together We Build the Future”. This includes:

  • 250 acres earmarked for mixed-use projects under a partnership agreement between the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA),

    The partnership approach focuses on implementing investment projects across 60 land parcels with diverse activities, such as:

    • Residential: Expanding housing options to accommodate different demographics.
    • Commercial: Establishing shopping centers and retail hubs.
    • Administrative: Creating office spaces and business hubs.
    • Educational: Developing schools and learning institutions to serve the growing community.

    Collaboration and Execution

    This collaboration underlines the commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable urban developments. The Armed Forces Engineering Authority supervises the construction process, ensuring that all projects meet rigorous standards. These initiatives align with the directive of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to foster public-private partnerships that drive regional development and create long-term economic growth.

    The Sawary project is more than a housing initiative; it represents a significant step toward transforming West Carrefour into a modern, fully integrated urban area.
