Minister of Housing and the Governor of Dakahlia Follow Up on Several Joint Files

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting aimed to discuss joint work files between the ministry and the governorate, review ongoing projects, and address the challenges facing their implementation to accelerate progress and ensure maximum benefit for citizens.

The meeting was attended by several officials from both sides, in addition to representatives from the New Urban Communities Authority, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the Executive Organization for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage, and the Head of New Mansoura City Authority.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny opened the meeting by welcoming Major General Tarek Marzouk and praising the ongoing cooperation between the ministry and the governorate. He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to projects that have a direct impact on citizens’ daily lives, stressing the importance of field supervision, removing obstacles, and listening to citizens’ complaints to ensure speed and quality in project delivery.

The Minister of Housing reaffirmed his full support for all joint files with Dakahlia Governorate and his commitment to completing and operating all projects as quickly as possible to meet citizens’ needs and provide essential services.

For his part, Major General Tarek Marzouk expressed his appreciation to the Minister of Housing for organizing the meeting and supporting the governorate in addressing challenges related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. He praised the minister’s efforts in field follow-up, noting that such hands-on supervision is a model to be followed in executive work.

He also highlighted the importance of New Mansoura City, which represents one of the fourth-generation cities and promises a promising urban and developmental future for Dakahlia Governorate.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the needs of the 15 May area in Gamasa City in terms of wastewater projects. They also reviewed proposals for rehabilitating the city’s wastewater treatment plant and examined the implementation progress of several projects, including water tanks and wastewater lifting stations underway by the National Authority for Potable Water and Sewage in various areas of the governorate such as Nabroh, Mansoura, Matariya, Mit Ghamr, and Belqas.
