Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny and Fayoum Governor Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari conducted an inspection tour following their meeting at the Fayoum Governorate headquarters.

The tour began with a visit to the New Ezzab Drinking Water Station Complex – Phase Three, implemented under the presidential initiative “Decent Life.”

They were accompanied by officials from the ministry, the governorate, the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as representatives of the companies executing the projects.

During the visit, the ministers reviewed the details of the work progress at the stations, which aim to serve the villages of Atsa and Youssef Al-Seddik with a production capacity of 120,000 cubic meters per day and a total investment of 1.5 billion EGP.

These efforts seek to increase the volume of produced water, improve service quality and sustainability, and ensure a dignified life for approximately 950,000 residents in these areas—particularly those living at the ends of the distribution networks.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of daily follow-up on work progress and accelerating implementation to ensure citizens benefit as soon as possible.

In another part of the tour, the minister and the governor inspected Phase One of the road linking New Fayoum City with the original Fayoum City.

A detailed presentation was delivered about this vital infrastructure project, which includes constructing a 30-meter-wide road directly connecting the two cities.

Phase One includes implementing an at-grade bridge over Bahr Hassan Wasif, while Phase Two will link New Fayoum City to the Fayoum Ring Road to enhance traffic flow, attract investments, and encourage residential growth in the new city.

During the tour, the Minister of Housing directed the construction of a distinctive gateway for New Fayoum City that reflects its architectural character. He also instructed the removal of waste, completion of lighting works, and organization of internal sites, including median islands and squares.
