75% Increase in Rooftop Rooms Applicable Provided No Building Violations

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities, announced that the decision to increase rooftop rooms from 25% to 75% is in effect, provided there are no violations on the building.

During his speech at the press conference organized by the Businessmen Association, El-Sherbiny stated that he had instructed city authorities to expedite the procedures for increasing rooftop rooms according to the specified regulations. He emphasized that those who comply with these regulations can quickly obtain the necessary permits.

This came as part of a meeting organized by the Businessmen Association, attended by the Minister of Housing, Engineer Ali Issa, the Association’s President, the Vice President, and the Chairman of the Real Estate Development and Contracting Committee, Engineer Fathallah Fawzy, along with Engineer Ahmed Sabbour, a board member of the association and CEO, and Engineer Dr. Mohamed Youssef. The meeting discussed the future of real estate development in Egypt and the business community’s role in achieving this vision and contributing to the ministry’s objectives.
