Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the launch of medium-voltage electricity distribution (Phase Two) to power several plots in the “Beit El Watan” project for Egyptians working abroad. These plots are located in the New Narges Extension area within the Third Settlement of New Cairo.
Engineer Abdelraouf El-Ghaiti, Head of the New Cairo City Authority, stated that low-voltage electricity supply is being gradually launched in tandem with plot owners completing the required procedures. He also noted that Phase One of medium-voltage electricity supply was previously launched for several plots in the New Narges area of the “Beit El Watan” project.
El-Ghaiti highlighted that street lighting has been implemented in various locations across the New Narges Extension in the Third Settlement. He urged citizens to protect the implemented utilities during excavation and construction activities to avoid violations.
In parallel, El-Ghaiti reviewed the progress of roadworks in the New Narges Extension area. He confirmed the completion of the sub-base layer in Zone A (7 streets), Zone B (13 streets), Zone C (14 streets), Zone G (13 streets), and Zones E and F (4 streets), with street widths ranging from 9 to 14 meters.
Engineer Hatem Bakr, Director of Roads at the Authority, reported ongoing road leveling and waste removal in Zone D, with continued roadworks across other streets in the area.
This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and ensure the readiness of the “Beit El Watan” plots for development, aligning with the government’s commitment to serving Egyptians abroad and supporting urban development efforts.
