Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that the New Obour City Development Authority will begin handing over land plots in Neighborhood 2 of District 32 — formerly known as Al-Amal Association — on Sunday, May 4, 2025. These plots are designated for citizens who have regularized their status and were allocated plots through the public lottery system. Each plot measures 276 square meters.
The Minister added that the land handover process will continue until Wednesday, August 13, 2025, with strict adherence to the scheduled dates. He also emphasized the importance of accelerating the pace of ongoing infrastructure and road projects in the area to ease the transition for residents. This is part of a broader effort to develop newly added lands across several new cities.
On his part, Dr. Engineer Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, clarified that recipients must arrive at the Authority’s headquarters on the scheduled date with the following documents: the original sales contract, the original receipt of the down payment, a valid original and copy of the national ID card, documents proving ownership sequence, and the allocation notice. In addition, outstanding payments must be made, and installment cheques submitted with verified signatures from the issuing bank.
