Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Urban Development, alongside engineers Kamal Behgat and Ahmed Omran, assistants to the Vice President, conducted an inspection tour to review road and utility projects in New Obour City. They were accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Head of New Obour City Development Authority, as well as other officials from the authority.
During the visit, Dr. Ismail presented an overview of the status of road and utility projects in the city and the latest developments in the legalization of added areas within the city’s boundaries.
The officials inspected key road projects, including the R3 road, a 5.8 km stretch linking the Al-Amal area with the Middle Ring Road, and the R4 road, an 11.2 km connection between the Middle Ring Road and the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road.
Engineer Amin Ghoneim emphasized the importance of maintaining high quality in all aspects of the work, with particular attention to testing the roads’ durability.
The tour also covered residential zones, such as blocks 209M, 276M, 350M, 400M, 450M, and 500M in the Al-Amal area, where utility work and road preparations are underway. These efforts aim to hand over plots of land to customers whose legal status has been resolved. Ghoneim stressed the need for timely project completion according to the specified schedule.
Additionally, the officials reviewed the progress of the guided pipe-jacking project beneath the Cairo-Ismailia Desert Road, which will transport water to the service strip and the newly added 360-acre area in New Obour City. This is part of a connection to the water line from El Shorouk City. Updates were also provided on the construction of a valve room to manage water flow to the service strip, which will connect to the internal water network serving the legalized areas.
At the conclusion of the visit, Engineer Amin Ghoneim instructed teams to intensify efforts to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality execution throughout all phases of the projects.
