The El Shorouk City Authority continues to carry out its inspection campaigns to monitor and address violations related to the use of social housing units in the city. These efforts come as part of the authority’s commitment to enforcing regulatory laws and ensuring that housing units reach their rightful and eligible beneficiaries.
In parallel, officials from the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund launched a comprehensive campaign to track and document violations of social housing units in Badr City, with the participation of the city authority and the Construction Police.

The campaign included inspections of several areas, such as the Seventh District (Al-Andalus) and the 222 Buildings area in the city center. More than 29 buildings were examined to identify violations related to selling, renting, or changing the designated use of units, in addition to verifying the identities of occupants residing in these residential areas.
Fund officials emphasized that the state provides significant support to finance social housing projects and that strict procedures are implemented to verify the eligibility of beneficiaries. They stressed that trading subsidized units or using them for purposes other than intended is strictly prohibited by law. Every beneficiary is required to sign a declaration that criminalizes any form of disposal or change of activity of the unit.
The campaigns resulted in issuing official reports against violators and delivering warnings to a number of units, while legal procedures continue to be pursued against all non-compliant cases.
