Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced significant progress in infrastructure and road development in the industrial zones of the 10th of Ramadan City. Key areas under focus include the 710-feddan zone and the Developers Industrial Zone, which spans 2 million square meters.
The minister also reported ongoing construction of 6,624 housing units in two areas of the city as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” These projects include utilities integration, landscaping, and service infrastructure, with progress at advanced stages.

During his on-site inspection of city projects, Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of adhering to high-quality standards in project execution. He called for continuous monitoring of all stages of implementation, strict adherence to the project timeline, and effective coordination among all stakeholders to overcome potential challenges.
Enhancing Industrial Infrastructure
Engineer Alaa Abdel-Lah, Head of the Development Authority for 10th of Ramadan City, highlighted several ongoing projects aimed at upgrading industrial zones:
- Road Development:
- Asphalt surfacing in the 710-feddan zone and the Developers Industrial Zone.
- Base layer installation on Roads 6 and 15 within Industrial Zone A3 to enhance accessibility and meet investor needs.
- Industrial Zone Rehabilitation:
- Comprehensive upgrades in Zones A1, A2, and A3, focusing on road development and essential services.
- Sewer Network Improvements:
- A major project to modify the main sewage slope line (1,500 mm diameter) to enhance the city’s sewage system efficiency.
Coordination with Utility Providers
Engineer Abdel-Lah also conducted a meeting with representatives from GASCO, the company responsible for natural gas distribution in the industrial areas. The discussions centered on streamlining permit issuance and accelerating infrastructure projects. This coordination aims to elevate service levels for factories and investors, boosting the city’s competitiveness.
Progress in Residential Projects
The visit included an update on the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, targeting low-income residents in Districts 20 and 21:
- District 21:
- 88% completion of 178 buildings, offering a total of 4,272 fully serviced units, each 90 square meters.
- Construction of facilities:
- Basic education school in Plot 3 and kindergarten in Plot 4, both at 60% completion.
- Commercial market in Plot 2 at 90% completion.
- Healthcare unit in Plot 5 at 70% completion.
- District 20:
- 98 buildings nearing 90% completion, with 2,352 housing units.
- Facility updates:
- Healthcare unit in Plot 6, Neighbourhood 4, at 78% completion.
- Basic education school in Plot 3, Neighbourhood 4, at 29% completion.
- Healthcare unit in Plot 4, Neighbourhood 4, at 90% completion.
