Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the progress of infrastructure works for industrial lands and the construction of a bridge over the route of the high-speed electric train in New Borg El Arab City. He was accompanied by several officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the city’s development authority.
During his visit to the site of the industrial land utility works, the minister received a detailed briefing on the ongoing projects, which include the implementation of drinking water and sewage networks, as well as roadworks within the industrial complex area located in the Eastern Central Axis and the eastern part of the Fifth Industrial Zone. The scope of work also covers the establishment of electricity and telecommunications networks for the small industries complex within the Central Axis.
Officials from the New Borg El Arab City Authority indicated that the projects currently under implementation include comprehensive infrastructure services such as water, sewage, electricity, and road preparation over an area of 97 acres in the industrial complex area. Similar works are being carried out in the eastern section of the Fifth Industrial Zone, covering 123 acres, which contains 70 land plots allocated for various types of industries.
Following this, the Minister of Housing and his accompanying delegation headed to the construction site of the bridge over the route of the high-speed electric train inside the city.
During the visit, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of adhering to the designated timelines for completing the utility works in the industrial complex. He also stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work to ensure the completion of all necessary preparations within the scheduled deadlines.
