Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is conducting ongoing follow-ups on the progress of several housing projects currently underway in the cities of Badr, Damietta, Beni Suef, and New October. These projects include residential units designated for low- and middle-income citizens under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” as well as Green Housing units, the “Diarna” middle-income housing project, and premium housing developments. The follow-ups are based on field inspection results and technical reports submitted by the relevant authorities.
The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the set timelines for project completion and the delivery of residential units to eligible beneficiaries. He also stressed the need to accelerate the development of essential infrastructure services to meet the needs of new residents. Continuous monitoring of current projects is crucial to ensure compliance with technical standards and delivery schedules.
In this context, Engineer Ashraf Fathy, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, along with other officials, inspected the construction works of the “Diarna” middle-income housing project located in the Tell El-Dir area, south of the First District. The Head of the Authority instructed the working companies to speed up construction while adhering to standard specifications and the predetermined schedule. He also emphasized the need for the supervisory team to submit daily reports detailing the progress achieved.
Similarly, Engineer Ahmed Abdel Gaber, Head of the New Beni Suef City Authority, along with the authority’s officials, oversaw the progress of residential buildings being constructed under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” within the middle-income housing segment. The inspection included reviewing finishing works for a number of buildings, as well as the completion of public site landscaping, such as lighting networks, planting, and road greenery. Additionally, the Head of the Authority stressed the urgency of completing the asphalt paving, surrounding roads, and parking areas to ensure the project is delivered on time.
