Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, followed up on the commencement of construction of 33 residential buildings comprising 858 units as part of the “Diarna” middle-income housing project in New Damietta. The project aims to provide housing units for various income levels. The minister emphasized the need to intensify field visits to monitor ongoing projects and ensure adherence to specified standards and designs to guarantee the quality of the real estate product.
Engineer Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, inspected the ongoing works of the Diarna project in the Tall El-Deir area. He stressed the importance of complying with standard specifications and the approved timeline and requested daily progress reports. He also toured several residential neighborhoods, highlighting the importance of intensifying cleaning operations, maintaining green areas, and coordinating with the Reconstruction Police Department to eliminate encroachments and ban the movement of tuk-tuks in the city.
The Head of the City Authority also inspected the operational progress of the urban market designated for street vendors in District 6 of the First Neighborhood, to ensure adherence to operational regulations and to maintain the city’s civilized appearance. Additionally, Engineer Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud reviewed road paving works in the industrial zone, directing for the swift completion of the works according to the required specifications and timeline.
