Engineer Amr Khattab, spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, confirmed that the new offering of housing units is part of the implementation of President Sisi’s directives under the seventh phase of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, aimed at providing secure housing for citizens.
He clarified that the Minister of Housing reviewed the plan to execute the largest housing offering in the ministry’s history, which includes approximately 400,000 housing units distributed across several governorates. The first batch will include 116,000 units, and reservations for these will begin on May 21. Some units will be ready for immediate delivery, while others will be delivered within 36 months.
The spokesperson noted that the terms booklet, which will be issued alongside the opening of reservations, will contain all details regarding the offering, including the governorates where the units are available, as well as the application conditions. These conditions will depend on the applicant’s income, social status, and age group, with priority given based on age and social condition.
Regarding the reservation down payment, Khattab explained that the amount for units designated for low-income individuals will be 50,000 EGP, while for middle-income applicants, it will be 100,000 EGP. The amount will depend on the type of unit and the applicant’s monthly income.
