In line with the directives of Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities—who emphasizes the importance of monitoring all ministry projects and files across the Egyptian governorates—and in implementation of the state’s general policy in this regard, a delegation from the Ministry’s Housing and Utilities Sector conducted a field visit to the Red Sea Governorate.
The visit took place under the supervision of Engineer Nafisa Mahmoud Hashem, Advisor to the Minister and Supervisor of the Sector, and was headed by Engineer Mostafa El-Naggar, Head of the Housing Sector, along with Engineer Rania Mohamed Mounir, Head of the Central Administration for Housing, and several sector officials. The purpose of the visit was to follow up on the progress of ongoing projects in the governorate.
This visit comes as part of the Housing and Utilities Sector’s ongoing role in providing technical support to housing directorates across Egypt and overseeing the implementation of national projects in accordance with the governorates’ investment plans and projects affiliated with various governmental bodies.

The delegation began its visit with a meeting with Engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim, Director of the Housing and Utilities Directorate in the Red Sea Governorate. The meeting reviewed all technical aspects related to the directorate’s work, including the progress of the investment plan and the projects currently under its supervision.
Following the meeting, the committee toured a number of ongoing projects overseen by the Housing Directorate in the governorate, including:

The Wholesale Market in Hurghada,

The Social Housing Project under the Tenth Announcement,

The allocated land for the new Social Housing Project, and
-
The Medium-Income Housing Project in El-Badari (18 buildings – Phase One).
The tour also included inspection of Distinguished Housing Projects, such as the 20-building project, the 36-building project on Al-Hegaz Street, and the new Distinguished Housing Project in the Mojahid area (13 buildings and a nursery). Additionally, the delegation visited Al-Taqwa Buildings – Phase Two, the Hurghada Commercial and Administrative Mall, the Families’ Beach (Phase 2), and the Local Council Building in Hurghada City.
The visit concluded with a meeting with Kamal Suleiman, Secretary-General of the Red Sea Governorate. During the meeting, Suleiman expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s efforts in monitoring and supporting the projects implemented under the supervision of the Housing Directorate in the governorate.
