Officials from the Ministry of Housing convened a meeting at the New Obour City Authority to discuss the progress of land legalization within the city, in line with the directives of the political leadership. The meeting focused on swiftly addressing the land ownership issues in areas newly added to New Obour City and advancing the utility infrastructure to facilitate the legalization process.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Ahmed Ismail, Head of the City Authority, Eng. Kamal Bahgat, Assistant Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), Eng. Ashraf Fathy, Assistant Deputy Chairman for Utilities, and Eng. Nora Fouad, Head of the Central Utilities Administration. Various officials from the city authority and consulting office were also present.

Following the meeting, Eng. Ashraf Fathy inspected the ongoing utility projects in the Al-Amal and Al-Talea areas, as well as the city’s main road networks. He emphasized the need for contractors to continue intensifying efforts to complete the projects on schedule as per the defined timelines.

The discussions focused on the latest updates regarding infrastructure projects, including water supply, sewage systems, irrigation, road preparation, and electricity. Officials also reviewed water sources for the city and the progress of extending supply lines to the newly added areas, with the goal of preparing the infrastructure to hand over fully serviced plots to landowners. This initiative is expected to contribute to the creation of a new urban community.
