A delegation from the Housing and Utilities Sector at the Ministry of Housing, led by Eng. Nafisa Mahmoud Hashem, Advisor to the Minister and Supervisor of the Sector, and headed by Eng. Mostafa Al-Nagar, Head of the Housing and Utilities Sector, conducted a visit to Gharbia Governorate.
The purpose of the visit was to provide technical support and monitor ongoing projects, with the participation of Eng. Rania Mohamed Mounir, Head of the Central Housing Administration within the sector, along with several senior sector officials.
This visit comes within the framework of the Housing and Utilities Sector’s role in providing technical assistance to the housing directorates in the governorates and monitoring their supervision of national projects implemented as part of the governorates’ investment plans or affiliated with various state entities.
The visit responds to directives issued by Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, regarding strengthening follow-up on the ministry’s files across all governorates in alignment with the state’s general policies.
The visit began with a meeting with Eng. Ashraf Hawash, Director of the Housing and Utilities Directorate in Gharbia Governorate.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed technical aspects related to the directorate and reviewed the progress of investment plan projects and other ongoing projects supervised by the directorate.
The Utilities Sector delegation also met with Major General Ashraf El-Gendy, Governor of Gharbia.
The meeting included a presentation on housing projects in the governorate, including the governorate’s experience in replacing and renovating emergency shelter buildings in Minyat Al-Mahalla Al-Kubra, in the presence of the Director of the Housing Directorate.
The field visit included inspection of several projects supervised by the Housing Directorate in Gharbia Governorate.

Completion of the Mahalla Al-Kubra Traffic Services Complex

Construction of the new building for Mahalla Al-Kubra City Council

Construction of Abu Shahin Buildings (23 & 24) for emergency housing in Mahalla Al-Kubra

Replacement and renovation of Buildings 1, 2, and 9 for administrative housing belonging to the Spinning and Weaving Factory
The tour also included following up on maintenance work for the “Housing for All Egyptians” social housing project, as well as the construction of three residential towers within the “Al-Galā’ Towers” project in Tanta.
