Housing Ministry: Unprecedented Progress in Road Projects at “Bait Al-Watan” in New Cairo

Engineer Sherif El-Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, followed up on the progress of road works in the Bait Al-Watan neighborhood in the eastern extension of New Cairo and the units of the Presidential Initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the Third District of the city.

The Minister emphasized the importance of having clear and specific plans to complete ongoing road projects in the Bait Al-Watan neighborhoods in New Cairo and the swift completion of 5,328 units under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative in the city.

The road projects include several works in the Bait Al-Watan neighborhoods, including the internal roads of the project in the eastern extension. Additionally, the works for completing and finishing the buildings, as well as the road construction and site coordination for the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, are progressing, with a total of 5,328 units in the Third District of New Cairo.

During a field visit by Engineer Abdel-Raouf El-Ghaiti, Head of the New Cairo City Authority, along with officials from the authority, the team inspected Road R6 in the eastern extension and ongoing road works in the Bait Al-Watan area. The team also visited the construction of Road ABC, which connects to the 24th Axis in front of the Al-Ahly Club, measuring 3,800 meters with two main lanes, two service lanes on both sides and a bike lane in both directions. They also inspected MR2 Road inside Bait Al-Watan, which connects to the Middle Road, separating the Fourth and Sixth Districts of the area.

In the same context, Engineer Abdel-Raouf El-Ghaiti visited the Presidential Initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” site in the Third District, where 222 residential buildings with 5,328 units are being constructed. The units range in size from 90 m² to 120 m². El-Ghaiti reviewed the progress of work in various stages and inspected the Investors’ Extension sewage station to ensure its readiness, including checking the efficiency of the generators in case of emergencies.

Additionally, El-Ghaiti inspected the road and sidewalk improvement works in some sectors of the Gardenia neighborhood in the Third District.

The Head of the New Cairo City Authority directed the intensification of efforts to complete the various works within their specified timeframes while also focusing on the continuous maintenance and development of the city’s facilities to maintain its urban appearance.
