Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority, conducted an inspection tour in New Suez City to follow up on infrastructure projects. He was accompanied by Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf and other officials. During the visit, the city’s development plans and infrastructure projects were presented, including upgrades to water and sewage networks. Notably, 7 kilometers of the transmission line to the Ataqa industrial zone are being replaced, and a dual pipeline system is being implemented to ensure consistent water supply, enhancing the city’s capabilities as an industrial hub.
The Deputy Chairman’s visit also included a review of infrastructure works in the urgent phase of New Suez City, covering an area of 300 acres. The electricity network has been installed according to the highest safety standards, and the main transformer station is under construction to ensure stable power supply.
He also inspected progress on the integrated sewage treatment plant, with a capacity of 1,000 m³/day. The treated water from this facility will be used to irrigate green spaces. In addition, he followed up on the main water reservoir project with a capacity of 10,000 m³, and the natural gas connection project in cooperation with Taqa Company.
Omran further inspected the maintenance and development work of the city’s green areas, including the implementation of a tree fence around the Ataqa industrial zone to reduce dust and increase the city’s greenery.
Engineer Ahmed Omran also reviewed the design procedures for the infrastructure of the first phase of the “Dyarna” residential project, emphasizing the importance of ensuring quality of life. He stated that the projects in New Suez City reflect the state’s seriousness in creating an integrated urban community with advanced infrastructure. These efforts support population growth, bolster industrial and service investments, and align with the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
