Land plots allocated for housing continue to draw significant attention from a wide segment of citizens, as the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has announced a new offering that includes commercial and service units for sale through public auction.
In Badr City, 11 commercial shops are being offered, with areas ranging between 18 and 37 square meters, under a usufruct system for a duration of five years.
Meanwhile, city development authorities have carried out a series of development and efficiency-enhancement works, including improvements to sanitation systems, roads, public utilities, and landscaping. These efforts also involve resource optimization and enhancing the overall appearance of the cities. The initiatives come in line with the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, aiming to improve service quality and continue infrastructure development across new urban communities.

In Hadayek October City, the city authority has made notable progress in its expansion plan to use treated wastewater for irrigating green areas instead of potable water. Treated water now covers more than 3.5 million square meters of gardens and green landscapes—over 75% of the city’s planted areas.
The areas benefiting include:
• The 607 Buildings Area (Al-Kawthar)
• The 645 Buildings Area (Narges 1)
• The 309 Buildings Area (Narges 2)
• The Afforestation Housing Area
• Al-Wahat Road
Work is also underway to cover additional locations such as the Dar Misr, Sakan Misr, Downtown, and the 1185 Buildings Area (Nakheel 2) landscapes. The goal is to reach 95% coverage of the city’s greenery using treated water. Additionally, irrigation for ten residential complexes has been linked to the treated-water system to ensure environmental targets are met.
As for El Shorouk City, the city authority continues implementing a comprehensive plan to upgrade roads and essential utilities. These efforts aim to enhance residents’ comfort, promote sustainability, and preserve the refined urban character that distinguishes the city.
