Housing Ministry Offers 70% Late Payment Penalty Reduction Until December 31

Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, announced that the final date for availing a 70% discount on late payment penalties for housing debts is December 31. This discount applies to those who settle all outstanding dues in full for residential, administrative, professional, commercial units, and villas managed by the Housing Finance Fund.

In an official statement, Engineer Hesham Darwish, Advisor to the Minister and Head of the Housing Finance Fund, explained that the discount applies to units involved in active legal disputes or cases with preliminary rulings, provided the full payment is made along with all associated legal, administrative, and other fees.

However, the discount will not apply if the client has ongoing legal cases against the Fund unless they withdraw these lawsuits. Properties with final court judgments or administrative cancellation orders in favor of the Fund are also excluded from this offer. For these cases, the Fund’s real estate regulations and Board of Directors’ decisions will be strictly enforced.
