The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, through the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), has announced the sale of 25 commercial shops in a public auction in the Youth Housing area of Obour City. The shops range in size from 32 to 53 square meters and will be offered under a usufruct system for 15 years, with the possibility of renewal according to applicable regulations.
Additionally, four administrative units measuring 48 square meters will be offered in the Future Housing area under a usufruct system for 10 years. The authority stated that the auction will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at noon at the headquarters of the Obour City Authority. Interested bidders must pay a security deposit of EGP 15,000 for each commercial shop or administrative unit to participate in the auction.
Applicants are required to purchase the auction terms booklet and technical specifications from the authority’s headquarters for EGP 299. Additionally, upon contract award, they must pay the Board of Trustees a 1% administrative fee and 0.5% of the final sale value.
It is worth noting that the auction is subject to the provisions of Law No. 182 of 2018, which regulates contracts concluded by public entities. Applications must be submitted within the official working hours at the authority’s headquarters in Obour City.
