Engineer Amr Khattab, spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, stated in a televised interview that the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 7”, aimed at low- and middle-income citizens, is witnessing strong demand in its second offering.
He explained that this second phase under the seventh announcement of the initiative began on July 15, during which approximately 113,000 residential units have been made available, with sizes ranging between 75 and 90 square meters. He noted that more than 60,000 citizens have already purchased the conditions booklets.
Khattab added that 99,000 of the residential units are being offered for the first time, while about 13,000 units are being re-offered. He emphasized that the state is providing a subsidy covering 60% of the unit’s value, aiming to ensure that financial support reaches those who are truly eligible.
He also clarified that there are ready-to-move-in units available for a down payment of EGP 25,000, in addition to units still under construction that will be delivered within 36 months for a reservation fee of EGP 50,000.
Khattab stressed the importance of adhering to the main eligibility condition of the initiative: applicants must not already own a residential unit or have previously benefited from any project or announcement issued by the Ministry of Housing.
