Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the issuance of allocation notifications to 1,008 beneficiaries for land plots whose status has been legalized within New Obour City. These allocations were made through three public draws covering the areas of Al-Qadisiyah, Kilometer 48, and the former Al-Amal zone within the city’s boundaries.
The minister explained that this step comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to enhance transparency and ensure equal opportunities among citizens by organizing public draws that grant beneficiaries access to planned land plots developed according to modern standards and equipped with full utilities. This move reflects the state’s vision aimed at providing adequate housing and real development opportunities in new urban cities.
El-Sherbiny pointed out that this initiative is being implemented in line with the directives of the political leadership to provide residential and commercial land and units in an organized and sustainable manner. The goal is to achieve balance in urban expansion and increase ownership opportunities for citizens across various regions of the country.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of expediting the legalization of land status and improving land utilization, as this will contribute to boosting development rates in newly added areas of the new cities. He also stressed the continued efforts to resolve the status of citizens and entities currently present on these lands, with a strong focus on effective urban planning for land use to support the establishment of integrated urban communities.
