The application process for the residential units offered by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in the Jannah project in New Cairo witnessed a massive turnout. During the public lottery held for approximately 400 housing units under the Maskan program in New Cairo, around 52,000 applicants participated.
Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stated that yesterday, the public lottery was conducted for the Jannah units in New Cairo, which were previously offered under the Maskan program. The draw occurred at the main stadium of Cairo International Stadium in the presence of many applicants.
52,000 Applicants for 409 Housing Units
Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagi, Deputy Head of NUCA’s Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Sector, explained that the total number of applicants for the Jannah units in New Cairo reached 1,011 individuals with special needs and 51,089 applicants from other categories.
El-Shorbagi added that the public lottery for mid-income lands in New Borg El Arab City concluded on February 26, 2025, at the indoor hall of Cairo International Stadium.
It is important to note that only applicants who had paid the reservation deposit were allowed to attend the public lottery, which was broadcast live on NUCA’s official website. Additionally, applicants who violated the reservation conditions or did not meet the eligibility criteria were excluded from participating in the lottery.
6th of October City Land and Unit Lottery
Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny announced the public lottery for applicants of Jannah units and premium housing lands on the 6th of October City, which were offered under the Maskan program. The draw occurred at the main stadium of Cairo International Stadium in the presence of many applicants.
Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagi further explained that 87 premium land plots were offered, attracting 31 applicants with special needs and 972 other applicants. As for the Jannah units, 223 were made available, with 645 applicants with special needs and 31,932 other applicants competing for them.
