Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed that the second phase of the presidential initiative Housing for All Egyptians 7, designated for low- and middle-income citizens, continues to witness strong demand.
This response comes following the extension of the timeframe for booking units, purchasing the terms booklet, and paying the booking deposit along with administrative fees, with reservations remaining open until Sunday, September 14, 2025.
The Minister of Housing explained that the extension came in response to the requests of many applicants, as part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to meet the needs of citizens seeking housing units.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, also confirmed that the designated online booking platform has recorded 234,000 citizens, of whom 139,000 have already paid the booking deposits.
Mai Abdel Hamid stressed the importance of citizens who have registered completing all required procedures as outlined in the terms booklet, including paying the booking deposit through automated post offices.
She clarified that failure to complete the process means that the applicant’s request will not be officially recognized and therefore will not be reviewed for inclusion in the initiative.
