Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection tour of the urgent-phase infrastructure works for the alternative land projects in the Shams El-Hekma area. During the tour, he reviewed the development plan for the West Ras El-Hekma region. The visit was attended by officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as the heads of the New Alamein, North Coast, and New Ras El-Hekma authorities.
During the tour, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini reviewed the ongoing works related to roads, utilities, and electricity for the alternative land plots in Shams El-Hekma. He also listened to a comprehensive presentation on the stages of implementation for various projects in the area. These works include the design and execution of roads and utility networks covering water projects, fire-fighting systems, irrigation, sewage, and stormwater drainage, in addition to the first phase of the treatment plant and the construction of an experimental school.
In the same context, the minister and his delegation visited the West Ras El-Hekma area to follow up on the targeted development plan set to be implemented over an area of 93,000 feddans with a beachfront stretching 10 kilometers. The project aims to establish integrated urban communities that provide modern living standards for residents of the area.
For his part, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini emphasized the importance of accelerating the completion of the remaining works in Shams El-Hekma, particularly the experimental school to ensure it becomes operational soon. He also stressed the Egyptian state’s commitment to meeting the needs of the local population and providing modern services that contribute to improving their quality of life within a distinguished and integrated environment.
