Cairo, Egypt – Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, announced ongoing development and maintenance projects in industrial areas within New Damietta, New Suez, and 10th of Ramadan cities. These initiatives include upgrades to water and sewage networks, facilities, and road infrastructure to boost the functionality of these critical industrial zones.
El-Sherbiny emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting investors by ensuring fully serviced industrial lands within planned areas, distanced from residential zones. He urged timely project execution to meet quality standards and reduce potential disruptions to industrial operations.
In New Damietta City, Eng. Ashraf Fathi Mahmoud, Head of the City Authority, inspected road maintenance, water network upgrades, and sewage reinforcements serving the industrial zone. He highlighted the importance of completing projects with high-quality standards to improve infrastructure and create a sustainable working environment, facilitating investment and industrial growth.
In New Suez City, Eng. Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the City Authority, conducted a review of water systems in the First Industrial District. She examined a 900mm water main, ensuring its efficiency and compliance with health standards, while emphasizing the critical role of consistent water services in supporting industrial activities.
Meanwhile, in 10th of Ramadan City, Eng. Alaa Abdelaa Mostafa, Head of the City Authority, oversaw the development of the industrial wastewater management system. Efforts included eliminating environmental hazards through pond reclamation and constructing new sedimentation basins to accommodate growing demands. Roadwork in the 710-acre industrial zone was also underway to enhance transportation and economic activity.
These comprehensive efforts reflect the Ministry’s dedication to fostering a robust infrastructure that supports sustainable industrial development across Egypt’s new cities.
