Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a field tour in Shorouk City, where he inspected roads and main routes accompanied by officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority. The minister instructed the need to enhance the façades of buildings in Sherif Ismail Square and paid close attention to maintenance, landscaping, and cleanliness. He also inspected an ongoing utility project, stressing the importance of completing it swiftly and clearing any debris. Additionally, he tasked the head of the city authority with preparing a survey of vacant lands. The minister also held a meeting to follow up on the presidential initiative “Decent Life” projects in Aswan and Beni Suef governorates.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Housing emphasized the significance of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative projects, pointing out the need to monitor updates and challenges in their implementation. Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of accelerating the execution rates, especially with the first phase nearing completion, to ensure the projects are operational and to broaden the base of beneficiaries. He also highlighted the direct impact of these projects on the quality of life for citizens, focusing on tracking each project in the governorates to ensure adherence to set timelines.
The meeting reviewed the details of projects being carried out by the Ministry of Water Resources, including sewage systems, treatment plants, and water networks in Aswan and Beni Suef, as well as the current status of execution and coordination with participating entities. At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister directed the intensification of on-site follow-ups and the organization of regular meetings to track weekly progress of the projects and to monitor supply and installation processes.
