Engineer Sherif El-Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the start of handing over land plots allocated for the “Beit Al Watan” project—covering its eighth phase and supplementary ninth phase for Egyptians living abroad—in Obour City. The handover process will begin on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in accordance with the schedules set by the Obour City Development Authority.
The minister emphasized that the Ministry of Housing is always keen to meet the needs of citizens from various segments by providing diverse housing units and land plots. He also highlighted the importance of supporting Egyptians living abroad, helping them maintain their connection to their homeland and enabling them to fulfill their dream of building private residences in line with the required specifications. El-Shorbiny further explained that the ministry attaches great importance to facilitating the handover procedures and providing the necessary support to beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the Obour City Development Authority, revealed the detailed land handover schedule. For the eighth phase, located in Area (B) within the Eighth District, Block (17113), the handover will proceed as follows:

Plots 1–20: Sunday, August 17, 2025

Plots 21–40: Monday, August 18, 2025

Plots 61–80: Wednesday, August 20, 2025

Plots 81–91: Thursday, August 21, 2025
As for the supplementary ninth phase, located in the Recreational District, the handover will include plots No. 2, 3, and 8 in Block (25017), in addition to plot No. 7 in Block (25019) and plot No. 6 in Block (25020). These will be handed over on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Rashad added that the period from Monday, August 25, to Thursday, August 28, 2025, has been allocated for beneficiaries who missed their scheduled handover dates.
During the handover process, beneficiaries are required to present all necessary documents as stipulated in the project’s terms and conditions booklet.
