Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held an expanded meeting to review the progress of the presidential initiative “Decent Life” projects in Aswan Governorate. The meeting was attended by officials from the ministry, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, the Central Agency for Reconstruction, the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and representatives of the companies implementing the projects.
At the start of the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of Aswan Governorate and Upper Egypt in general, particularly with regard to the “Decent Life” projects, noting that the purpose of the meeting was to monitor the progress of all projects in the governorate.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the significance of relying on locally produced materials, stating: “We are working to localize the various industries needed for these projects, in line with the directives of the political leadership in this field.” He also underlined the need to adhere to the set timelines for project completion and to overcome any challenges with innovative solutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of Housing instructed that all projects be monitored on a daily basis and that a weekly report be prepared and submitted to him personally, containing all details of the implementation status of each project component.
