Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, followed up on the implementation of road and utility projects in the southern expansions of New Cairo City, covering an area of 16,000 feddans. These projects aim to provide investment, residential, and service opportunities.
El-Sherbiny emphasized that the state’s urban planning strategy focuses on economic development, stressing the importance of accelerating progress and overcoming obstacles to ensure that projects are completed within their scheduled timelines.
Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, Head of the New Cairo City Authority, inspected utility works in the southern extension of the city, where he reviewed the implementation of the main water and sewage lines. Progress rates and completion levels were presented, with emphasis placed on adherence to timelines and the quality of work. El-Ghaity highlighted the lengths of the road and utility networks, which include 85 kilometers of roads, 110 kilometers of water lines, 116 kilometers of sewage lines, and 165 kilometers of irrigation pipelines. He concluded his tour by inspecting Sewage Station No. 12, stressing the need for continued work to complete the project.
