Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Head of the Urban Development Fund, to discuss the operation plan for the Fustat Hills Park. The meeting was attended by several officials from the Ministry and the Central Agency for Reconstruction.
In a statement released on Friday, El-Sherbiny emphasized that the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Development Fund are key partners in the success of the Fustat Hills project. He highlighted the importance of having a clear vision for the park’s operation once construction is completed.
He also stressed the need to accelerate all ongoing works to meet the specified timeline and underscored the significance of launching operations promptly to maximize the project’s benefits and protect the investments made.
The minister reiterated the necessity of expediting the operational procedures so that the park would be ready for use as soon as construction concludes. He noted that developing an early operational vision is crucial to ensuring the highest levels of service for visitors once the park opens.
For his part, Engineer Khaled Siddiq gave a presentation on the efforts made and the proposals related to the park’s operation. He noted ongoing communication with several major companies that specialize in project management, aiming to ensure optimal performance standards.
The Fustat Hills Park project is located in the Old Cairo district and spans approximately 500 acres. It is being implemented by the Executive Agency for Greater Cairo Development Projects, affiliated with the Ministry of Housing. The park is considered one of the largest of its kind in the Middle East.
