Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the completion of a model youth sports and social center located in the Clubs Area of Badr City. The center, which spans an area of 106,477.6 square meters, includes a wide range of facilities and activities. It has been officially handed over to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for management and operation.
El-Sherbiny emphasized that this project aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to provide advanced sports services and modern youth centers in new urban areas. These facilities aim to enhance the quality of life and promote physical fitness and sports culture, especially among the youth. The initiative also supports community development efforts and strengthens cooperation between ministries to achieve integrated and sustainable urban development.
Engineer Mohamed Abdelaziz, Head of the Badr City Development Authority, explained that the project includes a wide array of facilities such as an Olympic-size swimming pool, a children’s pool, an Olympic football field with bleachers, two tennis courts, two multi-purpose courts, a gymnasium, a social building, a shopping center, a mosque, two restaurants, an open-air theater, changing rooms, cafeterias, a car parking area, and extensive green spaces. Officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the New Urban Communities Authority in delivering the facility with high technical standards. They noted that such developments enhance overall urban growth and effectively integrate infrastructure with community-oriented content.
