Housing Minister and Chairman of Arab Organization for Industrialization Sign a Protocol

Lieutenant General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, welcomed Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, at the Helwan Advanced Industries Factory. The meeting was attended by several officials, including the Deputy Minister of Housing and heads of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Companies. During the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of unifying efforts to complete the “Decent Life” projects on schedule, in line with the directives of President El-Sisi. He stressed the necessity of identifying needs, initiating new contracts, intensifying the work of executing companies, and regularly monitoring progress. Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny also highlighted the ministry’s focus on drinking water and sanitation services, with particular attention to improving service quality and meeting future demands.

During his visit to the Motors and Pumps Factory, the Minister praised the factory’s capabilities and manufacturing capacity, expressing his satisfaction with the volume of work being carried out. He underscored the importance of localizing manufacturing and enhancing cooperation with the organization, noting that the protocol signing is a positive step toward boosting local industry. For his part, Lieutenant General Mokhtar Abdel Latif outlined the organization’s efforts to localize pump manufacturing by international quality standards, emphasizing the modern capabilities of the digital manufacturing center.

During the visit, the Minister of Housing and the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization toured the organization’s product exhibition, as well as the motors and aircraft factories. The visit covered water and sanitation projects, including the production of pumps for sewage lift stations as part of the “Decent Life” initiative. They also reviewed the production lines of the June 30 Factory and the Gas Pipe Factory, with a focus on manufacturing polyethylene pipes to reduce imports. Additionally, they examined the digital manufacturing departments and modern systems.
